With a journalism education, my background is mostly in writing, including news stories and long-form features, and I've worked in the sports realm of digital media since 2011. I love unique stories with personal touches and finding ways to tell them in a manner that catches people's eyes.
Though I was not trained as a photographer, my work has often required a basic understanding of digital photography to help cover certain team events, and in the process I found that I enjoy the art and science of figuring out a proper exposure, conceptualizing the composition and making a lasting image that captures a moment. In my work covering the Broncos, I have been able to provide high-quality photography at games, practices, team functions, and marketing and community events, in addition to my writing and editing.
WORK EXPERIENCE
MANAGING EDITOR, DENVER BRONCOS
April 2017 - present
Responsibilities include editorial planning and copyediting; writing news and feature stories for DenverBroncos.com and the team's print publications; conducting interviews with NFL players and executives; producing and posting photo galleries; covering the team's events and games; producing and sending out email newsletter campaigns; managing content placement on our home page and app; updating various pages on the team's site and app, including the roster, coaching staff listing and transactions page. In 2018, I also was responsible for migrating the team's photo archives to Photoshelter.
ASSOCIATE EDITOR, DENVER BRONCOS
August 2014 - April 2017
Helped execute editorial plans with a focus on the site's written and photography sides; edited copy for DenverBroncos.com and the team's other publications; led our print publications' editorial process; wrote news and feature stories and covered team events and games, including Super Bowl 50, for articles and photography; conducted interviews with NFL players, coaches and executives; and produced and executed email newsletter campaigns; began a weekly podcast.
MANAGING EDITOR, AT THE HIVE

Managed the leading blog covering the Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets, which included a small staff of other young writers; edited copy and led the editorial planning for the site; wrote articles with focuses on providing smart analysis, game coverage and editorials, with a balance of humor and professional, clean writing; developed the site's implementation of social media on Twitter and Facebook.

Covered slates of NBA games two or three nights a week with a focus on quickly sharing the small, memorable and fun moments that make NBA seasons fun to follow and doing so with a personal voice; managed SB Nation's NBA Twitter account on those nights.
